A "gray-label" collection of broadcast transcriptions. Most of the performances are recordings of Fats Waller and His Rhythm at the Panther Room in Chicago. But the real rarity is the first half-dozen tracks, which comprise a transcription of a 1938 jam session co-led by Waller and Louis Armstrong -- The only extant recording of the two swing-jazz giants performing together. They blend like gin and vermouth; like whiskey and mint leaf.
